About Adam
Born in La Jolla, Adam grew up and lived his entire life in San Marcos where he attended the local elementary and middle schools and was among one of the first graduating classes of Mission Hills’ High School. Adam would go on to graduate with honors from Cal State San Marcos with a Visual Arts degree.
As most knew, Adam had an intense love of basketball early on, spending much of his time as a youngster at the local Corky Smith Gym on various rec teams, then joining his middle school and high school basketball teams as an outstanding point guard. Adam would lead the Mission Hills’ Grizzlies in the final game of the season to state finals.
Adam also loved skateboarding and you’d often find him with his brother, Alex, at the local skateparks. Through his brother, Adam also developed a love for surfing. He adored his German Shepherd, Ozzie, and loved hitting the tennis ball for him with a golf club in the house! After college, Adam joined his family business part time, while he pursued his true passion for art.
A few years after college, Adam was diagnosed with a very complex set of autoimmune illnesses, which included: POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and complicated neuropathies which the medical industry has few answers to. Despite his debilitating condition, Adam never complained and was always ready with that awesome smile. He was the most kind, compassionate and selfless person that one could ever come across in a lifetime. He will be forever missed by many but will continue to live in our hearts and minds and through his charitable memorial foundation.
In his honor and memory, Adam’s foundation will strive to do good and spread kindness by providing donations to worthy causes such as his favorite German Shepherd Rescue, providing scholarships to students in need at his local high school and providing assistance to needy families here and overseas. May he Rest In Peace.
We would like to invite anyone who would like to share any special memories or pictures of Adam on the site.
Thank you.
